If you want to go to an
Event and just plain have an AWESOME time meeting people,
connecting with the locals, and celebrating a GOOD LAUGH... go
to any Irish event!! Some events just get too big,
and Ireland is a GREAT relief for those who
want simplicity, fun, and
"connection".
I've been to
several Irish events, and there are no other Salseros who love
to have a good time like the Irish. With GREAT dancers,
GREAT music, and FANTASTIC organizers, the Irish put on
AWESOME Salsa events!!! Everyone feels welcome,
warm, and "plugged in" to the family-like feeling of the
local Salsa scene - especially if you're from out
of town.
There are times when
the
cozier Salsea events are "Food for the Heart and
Soul".

The girls were greeted at the airport with a beautiful
red roses. Susi Windhager, one of the event organizers
personally came to pick us up with per dance and business
partner Vincent, co-organizer of the event.
I could tell this event was going to be special.
It was such a pleasure to see both of them, as I remember
how beautiful their dance routines have developed over the
years. The routine they did this year (2006) was the
best I've seen. It was a combination of classic
Ballroom, Tango, and Salsa. When I saw it, I got goose
bumps on my arms! It was so well done and so well
choreographed. These two are nothing but World
Class. Not only does it show in their dancing, but their
values AND principals as individuals. They are very hard
workers, show up to virtually every European Congress of some
sort, and have business ethics and character that are
bar-none; hence, the reason why the Vienna, Austria Congress
was so well organized.
The Vienna Salsa Congress has established itself as the
most elegant and chic Salsa Congress in the world.
It has made a name for itself for a number of reasons.
• It is in the magnificent city of Vienna, Austria,
known for centuries as one of the most beautiful cities in
the world.
• It took place at one of the most elegant ballrooms
in the entire city of Vienna, The Kursalon Wien am
Stadtpark
Highly elaborate architectural 17th century dГ©cor
graces the venue both inside and out. Dozens of
beautiful roman statues sit atop the roof tops of the
building, and are lit up each night by beaming outdoor
multi-color garden lights.
• The moon was full that weekend,
which only
amplified the magnificence of the location, ambiance, and the
atmosphere.
• I felt like we were all at Cinderella's
Ball!
It was absolutely incredible to
see. No one was allowed into the Saturday
evening soirГ©e unless the men had on at the minimum, a suit
and tie (tuxedo preferably). The ladies were not allowed
to wear pants of ANY sort, strictly beautiful elegant dress or
gowns graced the dance floor that evening.
• Horse-Driven Carriages lined the
streets
Typical in Vienna on any given night…
• International Ambassadors, Statesmen, and
Dignitaries from all over the world came to the event
It
just so happened that there was a Latin Dignitary and
Ambassador political meeting taking place in Vienna that
particular weekend.
• Exclusive Saturday night dinner for the
Instructors
Vincent and Susi (event coordinators) invited
all the instructors and performers to a very chic and elegant
dinner at the ballroom's 5-star restaurant on Saturday
night. I had the best salmon I've ever had in my entire
life!
Eric Freeman (El Cubanito) from Boulder, Colorado was
invited to teach at the event. We had made our first DVD
together several years ago called "Cool Moves Revealed" – 60
Moves in 60 Minutes (a move a minute!) and it was such a
pleasant surprise to see how his style of dancing has matured
over the years. His lead feels like a fine wine
now. He has an amazing mixture of LA, NY, and Cuban
Style, all wrapped into one. His frame and technique is
unbelievable. I would have to say, that at this point,
he is by far, one of the World's Best Leads. Ladies, you
just have to experience it. It is quite
remarkable! It feels so comfortable. You just feel
like you're floating, being protected, being shown off, and
cradled all at the same time. He makes you feel like a
WOMAN!
The Vienna Salsa Congress sets itself apart from the
rest. It does so, not only from the elegant atmosphere,
but everything from the organization to the instructors they
chose, to the city itself. It is truly, one of the most
elegant in World Class Salsa Congress Events.

TIME OUT DANCING AT NIGHTCLUBS!!! If you
correct, critique, or train your significant other while you
are out "trying" to have a good time, your relationship will
